Funerals are very much according to individual tastes and wishes. Traditionally the funeral procession would begin from the deceased’s residence with the coffin and cars travelling to the place of the funeral service.

Close family and friends usually sit at the front during the service. For burials, there is usually a short graveside service before the coffin is lowered in to the ground. For cremations, the coffin is usually placed on a stand and remains in view until the end of the service, when chosen music is played before the coffin disappears. Please tell your Funeral Director if you wish for the coffin to remain on view.

Services do have a time limit to them, although it is possible to book a double slot.

Family and friends then often gather for refreshments to celebrate the deceased’s life.
